Apologies if this has been posted before, may not be a full list,
but still quite a few teams with claret & blue:-

https://soccernomad.wordpress.com/2016/09/08/claret-and-blue/

Didn't realise Trabzonspor played in claret and blue in honour of Villa.

Pretty sure there is a Nigerian team that basically plays in Villa kits.

£48 for a polyester ,oh and elastane, top is a fucking joke.

You're right.

But £20 for a polyester top seems too much to me, so I'm not the target market.

The club will argue that circa £100 for a replica kit and the increase in ticket prices goes towards making us competitive in this league, and Martinez in goal + Coutinho in midfield is a bit better than the days of Nyland and Whelan.

And as galling as kit prices are, there really is no argument when put like that.

There is an argument - don't charge ridiculous prices and you might get more customers.

Absolutely. When we (the fans) start justifying these ridiculous prices the clubs will start charging more.

Fuck me, they can't even release the kits at a decent time, nor all of it when they do. The whole thing is awful.

Just don't buy them then. Obviously going to the match is a different thing entirely, where choosing not to go means not doing something you really enjoy. But surely there's not a single person amongst us who can't do without a truly shit piece of polyester in their lives?

No, I agree. The problem comes when the kids want them though doesn't it. Nobody wants to say no when it comes to a football kit.

Apologies if this has been posted before, may not be a full list,
but still quite a few teams with claret & blue:-

Don't think so but cheers for posting.

The only 2 missing I can think of are Walsall (if we're including previous kits) and Youghal United.

I used to live about 100 yards from Salford City’s ground in the late 80’s and would go to watch them every now and then when they were in the Bass North West Counties league Their home kit was claret and blue. Also noticed that they’ve recently changed kit manufacturers from Kappa to Castore

Incidentally, their programme covers are works of art

It’s comforting to know that the “laser cut” holes will optimise my performance.

“ Villa’s 2022/23 Castore away kit displays tonal jacquard stripes in our timeless club blue, ribbed cuffs and a V-neckline with claret trim to combine classic sophistication with ultra-modern technical details.

Laser-cut holes work with innovative, quick-drying fabric to provide extra ventilation to optimise your performance”

The jerseys feature a 3D silicone Villa crest across both Replica and Pro editions, with the club’s iconic lion below the collar on the reverse.”

It's pretty nice tbf.

The prices are crazy, but I've thought that fora long time with football kits.  I wonder how we compare with other clubs?

Aberdare Athletic, Brentford, Darlington, Gateshead, Grimsby, Kidderminster and Scarborough are other current/former league teams to have worn claret and blue, not necessarily while they were in the league.

Stoke wore "crimson and blue" briefly, and if you count that as being more or less our colours they probably wore them before we did.

http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Stoke_City/Stoke_City.htm

Further afield you have Barcelona, Levante, Whitehill Welfare and probably loads of others.

New away shirt looks decent enough. Wish they would have a kit release where you could just see the entire kit. What colour are the shorts and socks. Claret or black would be alright. Light blue or white, not so much.

On the OS the shorts are the same colour and the socks are claret
