Aston Villa have signed a multi-year partnership with premium sportswear brand Castore, supplying kits for the start of the 2022/23 season.

The agreement signifies Castore’s continued push into the highest level of English football, the Premier League, and is a further statement of Aston Villa’s intent to partner with premium brands who share the Club’s ambitions.

Castore and Aston Villa are both aligned in terms of their future goals which include; striving for excellence, having a clear strategic direction and adopting a challenger mentality - making the new partnership a perfect synergy.

The new partnership sees Castore supply Villa with kits across all men’s, women’s and Academy teams together with the club’s large and passionate fanbase in the UK and across the world. Castore’s range of exclusive Villa branded match apparel, training and leisure wear will be designed and manufactured with ultimate performance in mind.

The new home kit will be unveiled ahead of Villa’s pre-season tour to Australia in July, giving supporters the chance to see the kit in action ahead of the new season. Two alternative match kits to the world famous Claret and Blue will be released in the coming months.
Castore

Pascal Lafitte, Director of Partnerships at Castore, said: “Aston Villa is the perfect fit for Castore due to their growth ambitions and relentless desire to innovate, on the pitch and with their partners, and we are beyond excited to be partnering with the club.

“We can’t wait to get started with them next season and challenge each other to push the boundaries of everything we will do together."

Nicola Ibbetson, Chief Commercial Officer at Aston Villa, said: “This is a landmark partnership for the Club, joining with an exciting British brand who understand our ambition and strategy.

“Ensuring we can provide high quality sportswear for both our players and supporters is crucial to the Club. Over the past four seasons our shirt sales have increased four-fold as our supporters around the world have reconnected with the club and we are delighted to continue this journey with Castore.”

Castore are excited to have Aston Villa join their already prolific line-up of sporting teams and personalities, such as McLaren F1, England Cricket, Saracens Rugby and Sir Andy Murray.

We've known it would be Castore for months - the first post about this deal on here was back in Nov-21.  Yet they're still not going to be ready to release all the kits until July / Aug - possibly even after the start of the season?  Why are we so shit at kit releases?

Nice to see we are upholding the club tradition of never having our new T-shirts on sale during the warmest months of the year.

Life, death, taxes and the new kits not on sale until the summer is over.

Funnily I've just had a memory come back to me as a kid on holiday in Spain, having just bought the black and white Hummel away kit in 1989, and a bloke at the hotel asking me where I'd got it from as he was a copper and there had been a big theft of the tops before they were released.

I'd have been 12 at the time, the fuckers are never off duty are they?

I'd settle for them being on duty these days.

Calling it now so I can come back to it later. Castore will end up doing us at least one top notch retro shirt in our 150 anniversary season. They've done a few for Rangers and they've been very smart.

I still can't quite get my head round how a company like Castore has gone from a start up to providing half of the Premier League teams in a little over a couple of years.

Just putting it out there, but the Green, black and red number with Muller on the front is my favourite ever away kit..... Mainly because mine has McGrath #5 on the back.  ;)

The home version was dreadful. Purple and dark blue stripes, with Muller plastered across it. Just horrendous.

I'd assumed they were Italian and should be pronounced "Cass-Tory". They're British though, according to Wikipedia, so is it "Cass-tour"?

Genuinely expected better from Axl. You anticipate repugnant behaviour from the Brazilian Villains of this worlds, but this has hurt me.

Still, on the list he goes.

30% off 1982 replica kits, if that's of interest to anyone.

My gripe with the retro shirts is that some of them  ie the Mita Copiers ones, look so realistic that those of us with the original ones get confused with the retro buyers. To borrow from Beavis and Butthead's description of Helmet, if you saw us on the street, you wouldn't even know that we were cool.

Competing with some of the biggest and most established brands in the world. Pretty impressive.
