including subtle chevrons within the fabric representing the impressive honours won throughout the Club’s prestigious history.

Say what now?

I think it's a nod to to us winning promotion in 1987/88 wearing Hummel.

Well quite. This whole thing doesn't seem well planned or thought-out at all.

If people don't mind not buying from the official store and instead go through eBay's and what seems an official seller kitbagstore, they can get the new season men's shirt for £52 or the kids' shirt for £40 by using the code HOT20.

I just wanted to let everyone know on H and V that eBay is currently offering a 20% discount until July 13th, which is the best price available.

I've included a link below. Other Aston Villa merchandise includes shirts from the 1980s and 1990s, as well as current training wear and other Aston Villa branded clothing.

I hope this is okay to make such a post, and I am not affiliated with the company in any way. Please advise if not and can remove it.

Up The Villa!

I'll only ever buy the kit in the end of season sale, I'm always 1 season behind. When the bits start peeling off after a few months I don't really give a shit, I only wear them to play sport.

If I'd paid £110 I'd be pretty pissed.

You'd have to be.
As long as you are not driving home after the purchase.

From the photos I've seen on Twitter the kit looks pretty smart in the flesh. Darker claret than I thought (good) and fans who've bought it mentioning a quality feel e.g. wrt the stitching and the Castore badge being embroidered.

I wonder if you have to size up like the Kappa kit.

Mine arrived today and the courier left it by the bin.

Only had a quick look at it, the material doesn't feel as nice as the Kappa ones, and my first impression is the Macron ones of a few years ago.

Macron...urgh...shudders. They made Kappa feel like Gucci

I'm looking forward to some long sleeve shirts to be honest. The new home shirt looks ok. Am more interested in the away one.

Does anyone know when that's being released?

I must say those light blue training tops I keep seeing in the videos are really growing on me. I didn’t think much of them when they came out, but I think they look good on the players. Suspect my beer belly might not be so good a canvas for them though.  ;D

I think last season they were only confirmed the day of the first game, though they announced a few popular ones in advance so people could buy the shirts.

Slightly off topic, but recently bought the Mclaren F1 polo shirt by Castore. The quality and material, can't fault it. The fit(XL) is true to size. If the villa polo shirt is the same, I will definitely be buying one.

Norwich have done a lovely job with their kits this year. The away one is really nice too.

Away kits need to be a little different. Be it colour, or deigns. I like the leaked away kit if that’s what it is, but the colour isn’t exactly new for us. So I’m hoping that while the design might be the same or similar the colour being considered is a little bit new.
