If there was a museum at the ground, it would be good to have a section that arrives at a view of the pitch, where you could put on VR goggles to recreate earlier iterations of the ground; pre WWI with running track, interwar Rinder/ Leitch Holte End and Trinity Road stand, pre-Taylor report North Stand and covered Witton Lane and Holte End terrace, and then Ellis's pre-NSWE incarnation.

I went to AC Milan's museum a few months back, and this was at the club offices called Casa Milan, about 2 miles ish from the San Siro.  It was very generic with a few videos playing and famous shirts etc, but there was a part where they showcased their European Cup triumphs which was impressive.  Then they had an area dedicated to their balloon d'or winners.  All quite impressive, but was done in 30 mins. A few more interactive areas would have been better.

That's one thing with a museum. It needs to be engaging enough so people go in and come out two hours later and almost feel like it hasn't been two hours. If it's done in 30 minutes it possibly didn't feel like value for money. A bit like when i did, I think it was, Sealife Centre in Blackpool last year. In and out in twenty minutes and left thinking that really wasn't worth it.

Exactly. The tour seems popular, so do what we can to make it more popular. Everything should be geared towards getting people to Villa Park and its environs on non-matchdays.

I'd be tempted to keep the two separate myself, unless there's not enough to keep a museum engaging  for a couple of hours minimum (although from the comments here it seems there would be plenty of scope to ensure that's not the case). I did the stadium tour probably about fifteen years ago and I'm sure it was a two or three hour tour in it's own right. It is possible that's no longer the case.

Have a house of horrors where you interact with Steve Hodge as you listen to DOL call us fickle and then watch us v Doncaster, Orient, Bradford etc. Have a waxwork of Gerrard, or even just hire Gerrard as no one would tell the difference.

I love the idea of an immersive, VR "VP over the years" - maybe even extend it back to the Lower Grounds Amusement Park using some of the architecture as the anchors through the eras.

All interesting but probably less so to the under-33s.

We'll have an FPS VR game for the kids shooting zombies dressed in Blues shirts, and lots of chimneys.

St Pauli have a museum under one of their stands with a bar attached. From memory, barely anything about football almost 100% about the fans and the club’s view of life.
