Palace knocking down the houses behind their main stand so they can redevelop. Let's get the offers in and get the land bought up for MEGA Witton Lane.

Have they bought them all up then ?

No, they just waited until the occupants had gone to work.

Apparently they avoided having to get CPOs and just negotiated with the people and bought the properties.

That feels like a sensible approach.

From what I can see they had to deal with a far fewer number than Villa would have to.

It's been done to death over the pages of this thread, but I reckon it would be at least 25-30 we would have to buy, and with another couple of dozen that would be impacted as they would then directly face the ground.

Whether by negotiating or by CPO, it would be a long, drawn-out, and expensive affair.

Although those properties would be significantly higher in value.

I did an estimate looking at the map in a best case scenario it was 19 properties (depending on how big etc), looking at prices in Aston none of them will be above £200k. so allowing £200k for each as an above market settlement, that's £3.8m, even if it was twice or three times that number it's not a particularly insurmountable figure in the grand scheme of things.

I suppose it will be dwarfed by the cost of rebuilding a stand the size of the Witton, especially to the size it would need to be to get us up to 60k.

Yeah, a few on here don't see it as a goer but I reckon the club are already on the move with it.

It definitely has to be the next step, but even if we got it up to Trinity Road size, that's still only another 5k or so seats. So I wonder how big they can make it.

The interesting bit will be 2027-28 and how full we are with the Neu North. If we are filling it you've got to imagine they will be working on what's next.
