It troubles me to imagine how close to the truth that is.

It was a bit like having a beer inside Kwik Fit but easier to get into than I expected.

Stage was good and area outside.

Says it will open spring 2026 so I guess a little will happen yet!

A sneak peek from outside on here

Thought the roof would be less... corrugated and more sexy insulation or at least deluxe breeze-blocks in the right pantone* of claret...

*Pantone LLC have declared Mocha Mousse as their Colour of 2025. You can check it out online but you might find that it just looks like another shade of shit.

There must be chips with that?

Who have they got lined-up to play the first gig? In the spirit of the Villa Leisure Centre, The Levellers and Ned's Atomic Dustbin co-headlining?

I reckon it'll be UB47 or whatever number they are up to now..

Is this news? Apparently, Villa have bought a chunk of land next to the new academy off Tame Road, Westwood Business Park- big plot by the looks of things, as big as the plot Villa Park currently sits on. The two parcels of land in orange on the attached image.

^^ Where did you see this LV? In the local development plan, that parcel of land was allocated for new housing. Could we be thinking of re-housing people from Holte Road etc so we can develop the Witton Lane stand?

It popped up on a Twitter account. https://x.com/Primetimeperry/media but the original post has dissappeared.

However, a bit of digging and 1874 Developmentd Ltd (yes us) have a charge against all of the land with respect to a loan to purchase the land, by the looks of things. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/10484901/filing-history

Interesting - to enable us to re-align Witton Lane we need to build a few hundred homes as part of the deal or we are on the move...

Certainly worth keeping an eye on this because that's a very big plot of land.

You could easily replace all the houses, etc between VP and station there and open the whole area up with Witton Lane shifted significantly to improve the ground footprint. Would be a very long-term project though as there'd be a lot of work to do before you'd have shovels int he ground near the club.

Which goes to support the theory that the downgrade of the North and Warehouse was done as a medium-term improvement.

That said, on the tour I went on last week, we were told that the club are about to spend millions on new dressing rooms ready for 2028.
