Is the plan to dismantle the current Fanzone when the new beer hall is built and ready to open?

Sorry where is the new beet hall and has it been built. Didn't see much happening end of October or a couple of weeks ago.

It's the Warehouse, or what used to be Stumps.  Doesn't look anywhere near ready though.

Maybe the fan zone has gone because of work starting on the North Stand, aren't they due to start it in the next few months?

It didn't look anywhere near ready looking out from Trinity Upper during said game.

Did the tour day before the City game. Old guy was our guide. What did you think overall?

Enjoyed it. So did my son. Not sure it's £21 worth but it passed a couple of hours on a dead day waiting for the flight home in the evening.

Aston Villa would like to provide an update on the matchday fanzone experiences around Villa Park for Thursday's match against Young Boys in the UEFA Europa League.

The two-storey Fan Zone will no longer be in operation but the Trinity Fan Zone with entertainment, bar and food trucks will remain open as usual. On the Holte End car park there will also be a bar and food traders, including Aston Villa Foundation's Kerbside Cobs.

Post-match, The Lower Grounds will be available for supporters to stay at the stadium, with the area remaining open until 22.30. Access will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis to supporters who can produce a valid home match ticket. There will also be a 10% reduction on purchases as was previously the case in the Fan Zone.

82 Champions will be open for hospitality guests to stay after the match.

The Aston Villa Store will also be open post-match until 9pm.

As the new Warehouse nears completion, the club will share details on this exciting revamped space in due course, following next week's Fan Advisory Board meeting.

There should always be somewhere local to the ground for away fans, even if it is something like the Witton Arms used to be, split in 2 different rooms, I appreciate that some pubs don't want them trashing every 2 weeks, but surely that doesn't generally happen anymore

How annoying is it when we are away and there is nothing local to the ground to go for a drink (or keep warm)

Ideally, yes. But being able to drink in town isn't "no pubs available", it's just pubs somewhere else. Was the point I was making. And I think Bryar Rose and the Shakespeare by the station often serve as, effectively, "away pubs".

When Villa are at home they'll be away. They, famously, always have away attendances that compare favourably with the turnout at Gandhi's funeral.
