Yep about 300-400 and at the moment (i think) you can sit either in the Trinity or the Pavillion seats... I think that will change.

Whatever is said about this corporate stuff not selling out, they seem pretty confident about ROI.

I think they can sell out all if they offer a better experience for the casual fan++.

That looks awful, I hope it's just down to it being a cheap and quick rendering.
Ditto.

Ditto again.

It looks cheap as fuck. Like that weird extension Wolves have.

So the Trinity Rd isn't moving any time soon then because if it was they would of waited and done something ten times better between the Holte and Trinity once the road constraints were gone. Unless it's temporary which would explain why they're not too fussed what it looks like because it ain't pretty.

No doubt further pelters incoming but the Purslow plan was just 'grander'. And demand was guranteed for 50,000 by operating at reduced capacity for a time. But look that has been done to death now and we are going with this 'squeeze in as much as you can' approach.

Funny enough, I looked up the 2000 plans for the new Trinity and then proposed North stand. I didn't realise that the new Trinity was actually meant to have an extra (proper) block at the Holte End but the council made them take it out for the 'angled' finish of the Trinity. And Ellis's planned North Stand was absolutely massive, bigger than any plan we have seen since

The future fortunes of the club will decide if it’s temporary or not I think.

I think the horse has already bolted when it comes to the architectural merit of the designs.

The randomness, and making do approach, IS what makes Villa Park different and special. If it was too neat then we might as well move to the centre of town and build a purpose built bowl.

Trinity extension Looks a bit of a dogs dinner.

Have we an image of the Witton lane, Holte end changes?

Usually when you see an imagined plan , it looks fantastic , as you've got a bit of artistic licence to spruce it up. See the plans for Perry Barr, post Common Wealth Games, the original and amended plans of the North Stand. I usually look at stuff like that , get excited , but realise it may not be as great as the marketing blurb. That said ,those plans for the each corner look dog shit . I'm worried the real thing won't look as good as the plans !

Good point.

Looks better than the Trinity/Holte changes (which wouldn't be hard).

The connection between the Holte and the Trinity is a mess - a hodge podge of the two stands style, so from the outside it will actually be "neater". Answers the question about the getting us over 50,000 seats though.

Genuinely, that looks like the sort of cheap shite Ellis would have put up. It's properly awful.
