We check the setlists from other gigs to see what the last song is. Then we leg it at that point. Not very rock and roll but we're getting on a bit.

I agreed to go and see Peter Gabriel at the NEC about 10 years ago. He was performing that 'So' album.

The second the first note of the admirable but shite Biko kicked in, we were out the door.

I was there - it is the concert he droned on about spending time in Sumatra playing music with Apes and Orang Utans - love his music but he does go on a bit

If you're driving to the NEC then drive to Berkswell or Hampton stations. Free parking and there's a train out that coincides well especially if you're fleet of foot towards the end of the concert - 10 mins from the train to the car and away.

Just read on skyscrapercity that we have over 4,000 corporate seats now. Everton have 5,000. So it seems that we’ll compare quite well to them when our capacity goes to 52k, for a fraction of the cost.

Obviously long-term we want to be doing better than Everton.

No, sorry mate. A quick google on all PL stadiums just came up with a list of total capacities. I’m sure it’s easy enough to find out if one has time.

The Villa Park expansion thread on skyscrapercity is quite good if you like this type of thing.

If you look at the Guess The Crowd OP this season:

https://www.heroesandvillains.info/forumv3/index.php?topic=66078.msg4875188#msg4875188

After the points info there is a bit about VP capacity this season and a link to the FA/PL directory - specifically the bit which lists all the clubs and their ground size, capacity, size of pitch and lots of other interesting stuff!

• The Cells: A newer, premium space with a capacity of approximately 300.
• Director's Club: Has a dining capacity of up to 150.
• 82 Club & Lounge: Has a dining capacity of up to 200.
• McGregors: Can seat up to 96 for dinner.
• The Oak Room: Can accommodate up to 152 people.
• 150 Club: The name suggests a capacity of 150.
• Star & Lion Lounge: A smaller, but still significant, space with a capacity of up to 170 for informal dining.
• The Aston: This space has a dining capacity of around 123.

Blimey. What a hungry lot. I bought a bag of chips in Wylde Green then looked forward to Mother-in-Law's dinner.

Wylde Green was to classy for that. You had to walk up to the Yenton before you were able to get chips.
