I was at the Villa today. There was a load of off-cuts from the new pitch piled up outside the North Stand. I wanted to take some home for the garden but I didn’t have the balls to nick them. I regret it now.

Be better if you used your hands to do it.

Very good!

Where is that? Is it over the old shirts?

The away fans coaches have been moved this season,  to the Holford estate. Seems a bit daft away fans walking past the railway en masse. I used to park my car there but don’t fancy leaving it for 5000 hopefully disgruntled fans to walk past

The old coach park is being used for all the constructions workers. Not sure where else they can be put.

I walk down that way, I look forward to having a chat with the Newcastle supporters, who seem to be the fans most likely to be banging on the windows of their coach as they go past.

Sat in the new seats at the bottom of the Doug in the first half yesterday
AA is the first row where the pitch is virtually eye level and if your small or a child you wouldn’t see much at all
The second row BB where I sat is a bit better but not great, from my seat you can’t see one corner of the pitch as the new disabled block obscures the view

They’ve shoehorned these new seats in to try and increase capacity which I’m all in favor of, but in this case I don’t think it was worth it because the overall experience is a bit rubbish bit like the game yesterday

I had wondered about that. Sat near the front of that stand a couple of times, long before the new rows were added, and thought it was a bit low down. Although I’ve always generally sat in the upper tiers (North Stand or, after my grandad’s eyes went, Trinity Road) so thought maybe it was just down to my lofty opinions as it were
