So, has anyone gone to the trouble of counting all the seats so that we can calculate the new capacity? If not, why not?

Poor Lou's senses are working overtime. Hope they give her a bit of the new VP turf for a funky front doormat.

View this full screen and you can see all the joins in the turf.
Of course, they know much better than I do about laying turf.

That's so as we can send it back to Lincs after the game.

I’ve always thought it should be claret seats throughout the ground. Looks more classy and less noticeable when they’re empty.

I don't like that. It doesn't look "right".

Not for me. I like separate claret and blue tiers.

Posh seats should be gold as they are for people better than us.

I was at the Villa today. There was a load of off-cuts from the new pitch piled up outside the North Stand. I wanted to take some home for the garden but I didn’t have the balls to nick them. I regret it now.

Is that an extension to the Aston Hotel that backs right on to (ie semi detached to) the Warehouse?

They're going to love having gigs with 5,000 people at them the other side of their walls.

That’s what it looks like. Another one along the side as well.

The building next to the AH, to the right of it as you approach at street level, used to host roller discos.

All these places (and The Majestic) would be better utilised selling revenue-generating over-priced beer to Villa fans IMO.

As a grizzly aside, somebody I knew was murdered in the car park of the Aston Hotel. He was a Villa fan.

The Aston Hotel used to be a theatre. I can imagine those walls could tell a few stories.

Be better if you used your hands to do it.
