Go to one of Andre Rieu's things. They have a section reserved to store zimmer frames and lots of seats were empty because the people who booked weren't around several months later.

How was the gig?

Great. I went in memory of my mom as she loved him and used to just watch him on cycle on Sky Arts at the time. We were in our 40's and were probably the youngest people there.

To be honest, not providing access to internet based entertainment to take your mind off snow patrol would be a contravention of human rights legislation.

And ear defenders.

I paid for my mom to go a couple of times as she loves him also - funny about having him on loop on Sky arts - mine is the same - bless them

Fingers crossed that they bring what they have done at Co-Op Live to Villa Park in terms of catering and Wi-Fi.

My wife and I went to watch Snow Patrol there and the wi-Fi was fast and efficient (managed to watch us Vs Chelsea on my phone) and the queuing for drinks before was minimal. Took slightly longer at the interval to get served but still very good.

Interval?

How the hell do they fill 2 sides of an interval - in only know 2 songs (dirges) so i might be in a minority but they hardly seem to be a "jukebox" band with hit after hit

They're pretty bland and inoffensive but they've had lots of radio-play over 20 years spread across more than the obvious hits.

I have them in the same bucket as Muse, ie one labelled 'one song, repeated x number of times, and it's a shit song to start with'.

They're not as bad as Muse, though. Muse are truly awful.

Worse than the Nazis and Coldplay and Trump.

Snow Patrol are wannabe Coldplay, which is pretty basic but 'Run' is a nice track, in my opinion.

Muse are wannabe Radiohead, which is a much more difficult act to get right. And they don't.

Spitting Games is a decent song. Run is not bad (the Leona Lewis version is a horrible racket though) and Chasing Cars seems to be a wedding song of choice.

Open Your Eyes is one of their better ones imo.

Worked at the NEC/NIA as a concert steward 20 years ago and saw plenty of acts. Muse put on a good show. Snow Patrol I was in the concourse at NIA and they sounded boring as fuck. Their fans were all rather beige admiring folk too.

Loads of congestion around the ground this morning at around 7.30 due to a really long articulated truck carrying steels presumably for the Warehouse site. Note to builders: When your having a delivery of unusually large proportions which is obviously going to struggle to make the turn into the narrow gates don't do it in the fucking rush hour!!!

One for the customer (The Club). Abnormal or long loads only delivered at a specified time slot ie.between 9 pm and 12 am. It should have been written into the contract. There will be no deliveries to the site tomorrow.

My new next door neighbour seems to be a Muse fan, at least I think its them he plays outside. I kind of recognise one song.
