The inside of the North Stand is so much better. Larger concourse and those screens to order a beer etc. plus the toilets are so much bigger.

Agreed, there seemed so much more space pushing the food kiosk back a bit.

. plus the toilets are so much bigger.

That's good news as my aim seems to deteriorate as I get older.

Was this in the upper tier?

More cladding removed from the roof. Something is definitely happening.

Yes. Though here's the thing. There was no need for last week's update. If there had been no update nobody would have batted an eyelid which is why, if something is happening, it is odd that they didn't wait until there was something big and exciting to announce

That video was all part of the PR campaign for when they announce season ticket prices not the North Stand - they are banking on more people being on sids bus of us having to pay for everything than the others amongst us who want them to just treat us as loyal fans with history not just customers.

I’ve never been fully on board with new North Stand purely because by the time it’s finished the Witton Lane will also need a rebuild

Just checking as I'm always in a rush or it's dark the rare times i get to VP these days but - how has it worked-out so far with the academy building nearby? I remember under the Purslow renovation plans for the North Stand, there was meant to be a connecting pedestrianised path from Brookvale Academy.

Does it look cut-adrift of the stadium more than envisaged or do we have good signage and access etc.?

Also, can we get one of those swanky cameras on wires above the pitch that the "big clubs" have? It seems to be the modern way of showing penalties on TV now. We deserve it. There's no Tonev in the squad to worry about the tech being smashed by the ball so bring it on...

Work still hasn't started on the upgrading of Witton Station. The tunnel connecting Brookvale training ground has not been started either.

Perhaps they are aware of the criticisms of that stand and wanted to show what they are doing?

I agree with your general point about capacity (even if I am not a fan of banging on about it literally every single day) but really, Heck can’t win here.

“They need to tell us something so we know what is going on”

*they tell us what is going on, and it isn’t demolishing the whole stand *

“No, don’t tell us that, there’s no need to tell us anything”.

It’s a bit tiresome.

Was the tunnel supposed to connect the ground to Brookvale? I don't recall reading that. For what purpose?

Only tell us exactly what we want to hear when we want to hear it.

Nice video from Heck. They've been painting the upper Holte interior as well. Hopefully we get to see the outcome of the feasibility study and what Heck alludes to with the North Stand shortly take shape.

I know I'm very much in a minority here, but I quite like Chris Heck.  The Champions League ticket prices have been a bit of a blot on his copybook, and I'm not at all sold on the GA+ offerings (in terms of value-for-money or if it's generally the right approach to take).  However, everything else really ... I think he's doing a pretty reasonable job myself.

I think the mess of the first few games - the lack of improvements to regular facilities, the delays getting in, general lack of communication and boasting about new LED advertising hoardings, when many GA fans were wading through p*ss in disgusting toliets, was a little misguided.

Whether the improvement is down to the very public negative PR that was generated at the time or they planned to improve all of that anyway, we'll never know.
