The Comer brothers from Galway wanted to buy us before Randy stepped-in. Construction experts, bring them back on board.

It was way before that, wasn't it?

Stadium tunnels ranked by a Yanited fan. https://x.com/utdnelly/status/1891373034620977375

Ours does look pretty good compared to some of the others.

The new Everton stadium hosted its first game tonight. Not many photos in this article but folk in attendance seem very impressed:

The stadium looks absolutely superb. At least in the design and some of the images released so far. Surprised it’s only 53,000. Thought they would have gone for 60k. With the new ownership group they are going to try to take some big steps in the next few years.

It's so impressive they won't start whining until the second home game of the season.

Well done Everton. Stopped talking and took action and jumped into the new century.

They've given themselves a chance of keeping pace whilst we twiddle our thumbs and try to charge people £300 for a cake and a cup.

Looks fantastic, interesting to see how it copes with traffic as they appears to only be one way in and out.

Shitehead would've built one under the Mersey to Birkenhead, and one to Ireland.

Would prefer us to stay at Villa Park and redevelop the North Stand.

Is there not a way to do this and keep some of the Stand open whilst work is ongoing?

Well done Everton. Stopped talking and took action and jumped into the new century.

... by moving 2 miles away to a site far better suited to the needs of a modern stadium, abandoning their traditional ground in the process.

So do we want a new 60k stadium within a couple of miles or do we want to squeeze whatever we can out of where we are?

Yes, but to be fair, there have been plans to move out of Goodison Park to a new stadium for more than 25-years, with potential locations at Kings Dock, Kirkby and Stanley Park before the current Bramley Moore Dock project. During that period they were also consistently selling-out Goodison every season. In the meantime we have built the Trinity Road stand, and been relegated.

This project has taken more than 7-years since agreeing the lease for the site. At that point we were still a championship club with the upper Trinity closed. Since then demand has obviously grown, and the question now is how sustainable it will prove to be, and whether we can meet it on the current site.
