I've had a good think about it and I think I've identified one possible reason why they won't remove the goal posts of the North Stand, and it is very closely linked with gravity.

Someone a few weeks back said they had to abandon the tour because a child was ill. Did they sort out a replacement tour with the club?

Don't think so.

Surely anything that significant would need planning permission. Maybe it’s just exploratory work to identify what can be done.

I do miss the way they used to keep us updated with clear comms before round about May 2023 when that all went out the window.

It only holds the roof up. It was an unusual design at the time.

I really didn’t think I would have to add that the roof would come off as well.

Removing the roof being only slightly less nuts.

This doesn’t feel thought through.

Remove the roof, shove in a few acrow props and then put it back on and raise as required.

Remove the roof widen the upper tier using steel frames. Put on new cantilever roof. Simple task in terms of modern engineering.

Yep and the Club is on record as stating they can produce several thousand extra seats within the existing stadium bowl in time for the Euros.

I’ve always thought impossible with the goalpost,

But anyway back to the Olympic level sneering in response to a question …

This seems to me to be a simple case of reverse aluminum abrogation. All we need to do is shimmy the large behemoth into a ferret-shaped canary clamp. Five minute job.

Maybe the ‘orilly’ boys could it ?

The Comer brothers from Galway wanted to buy us before Randy stepped-in. Construction experts, bring them back on board.

Think they were checking the structure so Ozzy can leap from the roof to begin the show.
