Surely anything that significant would need planning permission. Maybe it’s just exploratory work to identify what can be done.

It only holds the roof up. It was an unusual design at the time.

I really didn’t think I would have to add that the roof would come off as well.

Remove the roof, shove in a few acrow props and then put it back on and raise as required.

Yep and the Club is on record as stating they can produce several thousand extra seats within the existing stadium bowl in time for the Euros.
