A lot of work  being done on the North stand now.

We've heard that 4,500 times.

If they carry on playing like they did last night in the final 30 minutes we're gonna need a bigger ground.....

I went to see an Elbow tribute act at the weekend.  They were called Arse and you really couldn't tell the difference.

Does anyone know what is actually being done? looks like a load of the cladding has been removed and also work on the glass.

Nobody knows, that would involve them bothering to communicate.

In the grand scheme of things no, but I'm a Villa Park "as a building geek" so I like to know these things... like the fact there is still some of the original Lower Grounds building/wall at the corner of the Trinity and the North Stand.

I didnt know that , although I remember Simon Ingles saying in his book what a tragedy it was knocking down the Victorian Buildings when they built the then state of the Art north stand

It's only a wall - and it has been incorporated into a load of new brickwork. But it was definitely a remnant of where the stands connected.

Which bit of wall are you thinking of? I know the 'Aquarium' wall was still evident after the North Stand was built, but thought that this has gradually all been lost.
