What’s the point of having billionaire owners if they’re not going to significantly improve capacity and facilities of our ground? They will get that investment returned massively when they sell surely?

I do get the impression that the business team are damned if they do and damned if they don't - especially with some on here.

They have clearly said that they cannot make a huge stride forward without local infrastructure changing to accommodate additional 000's of supporters both from a logistics and safety point of view so they have to make the best of what they have until they can get agreements in place with the stakeholders in the local area  (council / transport / Residents etc).

We do not need a super stadium to host mega stars like U2 / Taylor swift et al.. because they happen once in a blue moon but the city does need a bigger venue than the likes of the academy  / institute etc for medium sized bands / artists

I think its a fab idea and welcome any improvement as we all should as we try to maximise revenue from what we have.

Lets keep complaining until we drive them out - lets face it most football fans dream that they can have a billionaire take over their club - we have had 3 and we still complain*

In a way, fans ought to be thanking the owners for ensuring they spend their money on sensible, productive things like inedible food and double-mounted framed goal net pieces rather than stupid stuff like Christmas presents and seeing friends in warm rooms.

The warehouse  seems to be making a  positive impression  judging by all the comments on Facebook 🤔

Reading the above comments (toys and prams come to mind) on the redevelopment on the North Stand space, I believe that as the owners are not doing what many of us want in redeveloping the North Stand they need to sell the club immediately.

On Saturday anyone who is fed up of not having a new North Stand should show their anger at the owners by calling for them to go or jumping up down and having a teenage tantrum.

They are the owners and how they spend their money on our football club, is surely up to them?

Didn't you call the owners 'money grabbing' on another thread?

We all know that watching the Villa has historically been below the price of many Pemier League clubs and reluctantly must face the fact that more revenue needs to be raised from all possible sources, including us.
What seems to be so wrong at the moment is the messaging. Many of us cringe when the latest wonderful announcement is made. Heck needs to employ some PR people/firm who can get the messages across in a more palatable manner than the often over the top gung-ho style we are on the receiving end of at present. The FA CUP 3rd round/151st anniversary is a prime example of this.

I've just seen the promotional video, I don't have anything negative to say - it looks great.  Not sure what the problem is.

It isn’t a joke. I’ve attended 50,00 and 60,000 attendances at VP in the 70s. The facilities then were far inferior to what we currently have. Okay, there was far more standing back then but we did. Getting to the ground was mainly by bus or antiquated trains. The infrastructure coped. Of course it could be improved upon but we need to get the ground ready first. The rest should follow.

Can we all stop complaining and just keep coughing up the cash in case we spook the owners.

On the face of it this dev is making a decent use of the space & will hopefully be a very smart addition to the matchday facilities.

To me the negativity all goes back to the cack handed way that he dealt with the canning of the North Stand dev….had he actually explained the logic in even a mildly professional fashion it would have moved the dial on the argument, we’ll never all agree as some want the shiny new stand, others want the shiny new ground and others just want adequate facilities in the stands we already have.  We have two stands that are are at or are getting to the point that for GA customers they are beyond their best before dates, unfortunately both now contain a lot of nice GA+ facilities that will over ride any prospect of them being replaced imho.

Seems to me there's plenty of space to redevelop the North Stand (in a Holte End style, hopefully) at a later date. Big thumbs up from me.

The problem is we were meant to be doing this and 12 months ago he giddily came out and said we aren't doing that now and every time he has had a chance to clarify his remarks he has studiously avoided the topic leaving everybody wondering what the new plan is.

Some added 2 + 2 and concluded we are building a new stadium, others that we aren't doing anything. A lof of clubs have now passed us out on facilities and this enables them to pass us out on revenue too and ultimately.?

Just my own personal feeling, but I can't see the Club not wanting to keep pace with other big city clubs' stadium expansions.  I think we're in a holding position for the short to mid-term.
