This is true but I think the club can grease the wheels by offering a really good incentive package. Why not purchase some land and build them brand new houses thereby not splitting up the community? A ballpark estimate here for around 100 houses would be 10/15 million. In the grand scheme of things that wouldn't be so bad. We have major investors on board with a proven track record so I don't think they have got involved just to add a few extra seats and some corporate hospitality packages. 

There's 115 houses just on Holte Road, behind Witton Lane. There are another 300 on Yew Tree and Village Road. Depending on which areas you'd include, it might end up being more like a 1,000 houses. If they had anything like that in mind it would have been much cheaper and easier to look at land that has been suggested a few times, like the old gas holders site.

Inded, and what's more, of those hundreds of houses, you'd need every single one of them to agree to sell up. Same with companies in the industrial units. It's easy to say, wave money at them, but what happens if they say no?

We end up behaving like Liverpool did, which would not be morally acceptable.

Stands to reason, then, that there must be a load of highly-skilled, out of work, Egyptian construction workers who could easily knock us up a new stand in a month or two and probably throw in a sphinx, just for a laugh. Surely Nassef could have a word.

My preference would be to bulldoze Aston Hall (always thought it was a bit of an eyesore), flatten the park and put a new ground there
