If you're thinking of the Serpentine/Leisure centre area its all logistics depos now and has been for a while.

The thing is I still reckon it’s easier to pay off a few companies to shift, than to try and CP potentially hundreds of houses. If you think how upset some of us are at having to change seats, think what it’s like if the club want you to move house! I’d definitely be in the ‘two words and the second one is off’ camp.
…but companies, a bit of a financial incentive and pay for their move and stationery & I reckon there’s a good chance you can strike a reasonable deal for them to go.

They're pretty much new, massive units though. I worked on the 'Salts' building which is medical supplies, would've been around when we ballsed up the first play off final.

Can't see they'd be too happy constructing a new purpose built site to then give it up and go somewhere else a few years later.

No, but give them £10m plus all the associated costs and it may become more attractive

Many years ago Cadbury wanted to paint  Bournville Station purple, British Rail said ‘no’, so Cadbury offered to buy the station and upkeep it. BR said ‘yes’, hence Bournville Station being purple.

Anyway, I wonder if we could do that with Aston and Witton? Not paint it purple, though.

You mean make it a blank canvass for the artistic noses?

Those big sheds aren't moving anywhere. They are part of a wider plan the council had for the regen of that area and demo'ing the Eddies was sadly part of it.

Those sheds house businesses which employ hundreds of people. The houses are home to families with decades of memories there.

As football fans, we're guilty of sometimes forgetting that not everyone else has the same sense of priorities we do.

This is true but I think the club can grease the wheels by offering a really good incentive package. Why not purchase some land and build them brand new houses thereby not splitting up the community? A ballpark estimate here for around 100 houses would be 10/15 million. In the grand scheme of things that wouldn't be so bad. We have major investors on board with a proven track record so I don't think they have got involved just to add a few extra seats and some corporate hospitality packages.

There's 115 houses just on Holte Road, behind Witton Lane. There are another 300 on Yew Tree and Village Road. Depending on which areas you'd include, it might end up being more like a 1,000 houses. If they had anything like that in mind it would have been much cheaper and easier to look at land that has been suggested a few times, like the old gas holders site.

I would like to see a scan of a sketch of the new ground in green Biro on a king-sized silver Rizla before I lose responsibility for my actions.

We would need the houses on Holte Rd. The Aston Hotel(not sure who owns that) and perhaps the houses along Witton Rd. So more like 200 properties than 1000. It's still a hefty chunk but I just can't believe the huge investors that joined the board recently have done so to piss about moving seats around in our current set up. Didn't Lerner propose plans to purchase all the properties behind the Doug all the way to the train tracks with a view to having a brand new Villa Park station and a Wembley way type approach up to a brand new Witton Lane stand?

That doesn’t sound like the kind of plan I’m likely to forget mate.

Interesting to year in that video on a previous page them  mentioning the area around the Hub being redeveloped.  Maybe that might be the plan - develop the areas around Witton station and the Hub and create a walkway up Station Road to the back of the North Stand?
