Bielsaspeak for "Eramos una mierda."

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, speaking to Match of the Day:

"We dominated 80% of game and defended well - the goal they scored was opportunism and the number 11 had a shot at goal and slipped and [Anwar] El Ghazi was coming from having struck the corner and he found the ball.

"In the first half we created enough chances to score a goal and they missed some chances and in the second half we defended better than in the first. But we attacked worse - we couldn't finalise the attacks.

" The crosses were not precise, the final passes weren't precise enough. It was a second half with sustained dominance throughout, more than the first half, it couldn't be translated into a goal."

Or : "We were shite."

Brilliant result. Huge credit to Deano for the line up and game plan...and lovely to ram it up the gravy slurpers on their own cabbage patch.

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith told BBC Sport: "Not many people would have fancied us against Leeds and they make you work hard. We got an early goal and showed lots of character.

"We've got the chance [to finish in the top six] but there are some top teams in there. We'll just take it game by game."

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa told BBC Sport: "We dominated 80% of the game and the goal they scored was opportunism. In the first half we created enough chances to score a goal but in the second half we couldn't finalise the attacks."

“Dominated” - not really. You had a lot of possession, but produced very little.

I'm still purring over Konsa's little shimmy in the box with about 15 mins to go.  Wins the ball, drifts between the attackers and plays the pass like it's no big deal.  Was like watching McGrath in his prime.

And he did it all in front of Southgate.  There is no way he wasn't impressed.

I think that was our first win at Elland Road since Southgate scored the winner there way back when.

Very professional performance.

Back 5 and Marvelous were superb.
McGinn and Ramsey ran their socks off. Sanson looked accomplished when he came on.
Watkins was his usual busy self and AEG was excellent.
Traore was the only slight disappointment for me today.

I'm still not a fan of man-buns.

Great win that. Nobody likes Leeds. But I didn’t think we would get anything, shows what I know. Without Jack and Cash too.

Great win , Mings just pipping  Marvelous to MOTM.
I am too lazy to look it up ( and I'm pretty sure someone from this Parish will know ) , have Nakamba and Luiz ever played together in a league game for Villa ?

Love the fact that 5/6 different players been nominated on here as motm.  Shows it was a proper team performance, thought the entire spine from Martinez through centre halves, Nakamba & Ramsey + tireless running of Watkins were excellent.

Particularly liked Watkins dragging that cheat to his feet....how many of their team have at various times this season blatantly dived or rolled around with no contact yet they’ll still whinge about Jack or claim the Argentinian Ian Holloway is the epitome of fair play coaching.

Really loved beating them & seeing Bamford crying to the ref at the final whistle was particularly sweet

I thought we were ok-ish with the ball but very good without it today.

I was worried about Elmo but he did pretty well, and although you can never be sure whilst it’s 1-0 and the game is in progress, Leeds didn’t pose much of a threat.

Well done to Anwar as well. He’s a decent player, and I know it sounds obvious, but he’s someone who really thrives on confidence and can struggle without it.

More like one of the Hairy Bikers (or indeed Francis or Rick from Quo as the commentator pointed out).
