Think we got lucky with the pen but for all their  possession Martinez has had nothing to do. Good goal for us, keep it going and improve second half and we may score again. Dougie  not great the last couple of games, maybe we will see Sanson at some point.

Thought that Traore and Barclay had been largely anonymous for much of the time. Cash is frequently on his own on the right.
We were lacking in fluency for much of the half with Southampton pressing everywhere - can they maintain it for the rest of the game - they dropped off at Villa Park.

Fairly well battered this half but could have had 3 in 5 minutes. I love this team.

Disagree with that, they've battled in midfield and had a fair bit of the ball but we've mostly let them play in front of us and Martinez hasn't had anything to do. Looked a bit 'rope a dope' to me, let them run themselves out and then turned it up a notch and bossed the last 10minutes of the half and got our goal.

Yep, that's pretty much what I've been saying to my dad. They've had loads of possession but haven't done a huge amount with it. We've barely seen the ball, but at least when we have it look like we might do something.

They are analysing the non-pen: why did the ref firstly award a corner and then restart with an indirect free kick to us? - either for offside or another minor infringement.
Why don't Sky see that?!!
