Bruce looks like he's been locked in a cellar for six months.

We are a much, much better football team than this lot.  Bruce will be sacked after this game, which I take no pleasure from.

The only reason I wouldn't take any pleasure from that is the thought they might get somebody decent in.

Haha

Name me a better left back than Targett in the Premier League. As they say on Twitter, I'll wait....

Is it me or are Newcastle going for the 'fuck it let's get the manager sacked' option?

Such a massive turnaround for him.

There was a header he won this half in amongst 5 players. Not just been a great LB but he’s been brave also. His all round game has improved so much.

Were there any half time subs? I spent half time earning some brownie points by doing the washing up.

Its like watching Dean Smith's Brentford against Steve Bruce's Villa.  Wonder if the likes of Kirkland and Carlton Palmer still think we were idiots to get rid of him

Targett has been exceptional this season so far. Surely our most improved player out of a bunch of significantly improved players?

I am worried with all this passing from Villa - was used to us giving ball away... some kind of sorcery

I can't remember the last time I saw a Villa side with such good movement. I've been wanting us to play like this for years and years. We finally look like a modern team.

Such a massive turnaround for him.

I always liked him and thought the stick he got was massively over the top. Still, he has definitely improved this season. He could be our best left back for many years.
