I have to say Marv has been very good too
He has done what's been required really well. He's calmer and more assured; admittedly against a poor team.

At the risk of putting the mockers on it, Newcastle are absolutely god-awful and are there to be properly battered. Bruce is such a charlatan as a PL manager (very good in the Championship though).

We need to get rid of our anxieties of the past.  They are shit, and we are rightly and justly battering them.

Bertie - he might not track back too much, but actually, there’s something about him. A bit of a maverick.

Let’s put these guys to the sword now

He's a proper luxury player.

And isn't is great that Villa are getting good enough to have and play luxury players.

Agree entirely. And with the performance we’ve put in this season so far, we’re going to be able to attract more luxury players too.

Early in the project but there really is a feel good feeling about us at the moment,

Bring on the 2nd half. 4-0 would be great

Half time, and it's looking very much like every other time a Dean Smith side has met one managed by Steve Bruce.

I fucking love Deano.

Just solidly, easily, cruising-in-second-gear better than them.

So so easy.

Newcastle are terrible. I feel sorry for them having to put up with Bruceball.

We are playing with the intensity of a training ground kickaround - because there's no need to put any more than that into it.

One of those horrible ones. It'll be off wi his head.
I can hear him now in the dressing room "we need to put on wor boots and roll up wor sleeves"

I thought he was good last season. Just Luiz is better in his main position.

Half time. Great half, and we haven't really got into our top gear yet. We could really funeral these.

I think if we got a third then we should think about resting up the likes of Jack who are in yellow card trouble. Delighted for Watkins, was he offside and interfering with play from Schars touch? Thought Traore was useless until his timber leg cracked in the second off the bar. He is a freak of a player.

Back five have been solid, Nakamba doing his job fine. Was disappointed with Luiz, Barks and Traore up to his goal. Other two look very sharp.

Newcastle are dreadful. Andy Carroll stealing a living up front. Their keeper bottling the challenge for the first.
