Just had a look at all her results in the tournament, and she was only taken to a tie-break once, and that was in the Qualifiers. Some achievement.

And yes Piers Morgan can fuck off.

Amazing how powerful envy is isn't it. 'Choker' is it Piers, I'd like to see you try it you half-digested mollusc.

Cancel the above. She was never taken to a tie-break, only once did someone get to 5-5

That was a fantastic watch.
Ice cool under pressure and ruthless at the big moments.
A superb achievement from someone so young.

I think pulling out of Wimbledon in the quarters match due to nerves/anxiety has worked in her favour.
She was totally overwhelmed then, but being brave enough to pull out and since learning how to deal with the pressure of those situations stood her in great stead last night.

The Incidents around the medical time out was an acid test really.
Fernández, who was equally talented was clearly using the situation to put her opponent under extra pressure and Raducanu just was unfazed and that's impressive.

I think he's probably learnt his very painful lesson in that department to be honest.

There is no doubt that she's going to be trolled on the net by fascist twats for sending out that lovely message to her Chinese fans in Mandarin.

Djokovic falls short. Just goes to show how difficult a calendar year grand slam is.

Perhaps it would be fitting for all the "big 3" to end on 20 each.

It'll never happen, Djokovic is unbeatable in Australia. Still, it looks appropriate for now, and would definitely be fitting. (Actually, most fitting would be for Djokovic to win in Melbourne, Nadal in Paris, Federer at Wimbledon, and then they all agree just to stop.)

Haha, that sounds a reasonable compromise. In reality Federer isn't winning another. Nadal might win another French. Agree Djokovic looks likely to win more but he has had occasional dips in his career and I wonder if how exhausted he seemed in this final might precede another.

16 pages on Emma in today's Daily Mail, not sure there are too many 18 year olds, who can say that!
