I always see photos of what I assume is 57 and want to tell those folks to make the most of it.

Well, snowing like bloody crazy up here: any chance it might do the same in Birmingham?

Well I like the fact that rather than whinge, cry or look for a get out in some way, the club have just stood up and got the fixture on.

Is it in the rules that we can’t forfeit?

Probably due to consequences around TV.

We could have challenged them to a snowball fight instead.

Light snow at the moment but nothing that will threaten the game.

With all the shit going on at the moment I’m not going to get annoyed by this but rather see it as an opportunity for our youngsters to impress.

I am fairly ambivalent whereas pre-pandemic I'm sure I'd be incandescent with rage. Or something.

It's the equivalent of having a whole squad injured and utterly out of the club's control. All but the Rags will see this as a pointless fulfilment of a fixture and the result just as much.

Better get that asterix ready to go alongside the winners name. Unless we are the winners.

I think the club would rather use it as a way of giving young players some experience rather than forfeit the tie. I know some are worried about a real drubbing affecting their confidence but I think it helps guard against complacency and opens their eyes to what senior football is all about. There's been too many talented players over the years who find their own age group football too easy but never go onto fulfill their potential because they've become lazy.

Or a best snowman (or snowperson) competition. That would have been tremendous fun.
