Why would a bunch of kids lose confidence if they get wallopped by Liverpool?

Unless all the players are really, really thick and deluded, I'd expect them to turn up, give their best and mark it down as experience at what they should be aiming at.

This is getting daft now. They're going to have to stop the league and extend the season into July and August again. The Euros will almost certainly have to be cancelled I reckon.

If it goes ahead I think Bingo will go with a young team with a few first teamers thrown in as insurance against defeat. He's been blarting all season about injuries and how he cares first and foremost about the players so if he put out a full first team he'll look a right dick.

We're on a hiding to nothing really.

I think he'll have decided on his squad for this game before this turn of events. All his first team regulars are more likely to be currently looking for their slippers rather than their boots. He hasn't given a shit about domestic cups before, he's not going to start now.

because if you get done 8-1 by Sunderland and then 10-0 by Liverpool it doesnt exactly give you a winning mentality. Maybe it gets you used to being thrashed. That becomes your par performance.

Not if they have a brain in their head and a decent coach. If they were being thrashed like-for-like, then yes.

Just make it a big penalty shoot out competition, they could do it over a weekend.

I suspect it will be postponed.
it wouldve been postponed by now I think.
It's either field as best a side you can or forfeit which is why we are still waiting

I'm relaxed about this. We put out the kids, get walloped and it takes the sting out of the league match (them "gunning for revenge" etc) which is far more important.
