Ian Taylor’s normally at the ground, he can put a shirt on!

So are Dennis Mortimer and Jack Woodward.

Midfield sorted
This is like something from the Golden Gordon episode in Ripping Yarns!

We're better off not bothering than having the kids get smashed up. Sack it off.

Presumably Ross McCormack and Micah Richards are still on the books getting paid £1m a week. They can play.

This is my view, too. Could be painful for them. I suppose the only hope is that Klopp takes it as an opportunity to rest their entire squad and it ends up being Villa Youth v Liverpool Youth.

Yes, our youngsters fared very badly against Sunderland, Fleetwood and Carlisle who were all less than full strength, so if Liverpool were to field even a senior B string, it could end up as a record FA Cup defeat as well as a record club defeat.

What's the point in having a game where it's under 18's vs seniors? Many of our better U23's have been training with the first team squad. I'd rather we said fuck it.

If the Liverpool score needs brackets we'll be able to add 'again' in brackets to their entry in 'The Coronavirus ***** list'.

I’m sure Liverpool fans are looking at this as justice for when they had to play kids against us last time. This isn’t any longer a contest if they play any first teamers but they may not now.

Difference is, if you look at the teams they put out in other domestic cups, we would likely have started as favourites in that game if there hadn't been a fixture clash. Even if they had been able to choose first team players, they wouldn't have done so.

I doubt we would have picked a full team here, but am fairly certain we would have picked a team which would at least have left us competitive.

Thing is TV, they didn’t HAVE to play their kids that night, they chose to.
The could easily had added a few first teamers to their team that night but gave priority to a sexier (more financially lucrative)  fixture.

Opportunity of a life time for most of them because I would guess that this will be there only ever full competitive game playing for the first team.

If i was one of those young lads tonight i would be desperate to play.

This is the same U23s that lost 8-1 to Sunderland in the EFL Trophy. We should play and not just forfeit and if they don’t beat us by more than 7-2 then the jokes on them.

Imagine if we won though?!

This is going to be horrible if they put any first teamers out.

I’ve seen this a lot on Twitter. You’ve got to be some kind of amoeba to think there’s any similarity between the two situations.

I’ll assume if they score tonight that they won’t celebrate the goals as they berated us for doing?

I would love it if we beat them, love it.
