The Football Association and Aston Villa are working closely together to try to ensure that the club’s Third Round Proper fixture with Liverpool can go ahead as planned at Villa Park tomorrow evening.

Final confirmation will be made tomorrow pending the results of additional COVID-19 testing.

Well Sky are now saying that the results of the additional round of testing are now available and even more players have been found positive. This means that our entire first team squad are either positive or have had contact with someone positive. Govt rules are that they should all self isolate for 10 days which means the Spurs match will be cancelled.

The reality is worldwide tv rights for our game  are very lucrative for the FA and they will not be wanting to refund. Asia wants to watch Liverpool and cares little for who they’re playing - if they beat Aston Villa by a hatful no one outside of the U.K. will be bothered that it was our kids.
Wider view - must be getting close to a shutdown in football now and I say abandon the euros to allow time to catch up. Harsh on Scotland though !
