He is not essential staff for the game to take place. He was a spectator who could (& should) have watched from home, especially as he is in a vulnerable group.
He was wearing a mask in the stands (with empty seats all round him) but quite happy to take photos without one with the match officials. With matches being postponed due to covid outbreaks it will be interesting to see what happens when manurinal play l'pool in a few weeks.
Do we know for sure that the photo was taken after Friday night's game and not just a stock image?
