That's the sort of game we'd have managed to chuck away in recent seasons, so another clean sheet is welcome I suppose.  And we'll have Luiz and Cash, and hopefully Barkley and Konsa back for the weekend.  I reckon if Barkley had played today we'd have run out 3 or 4 nil winners.

Clearly a game we should have won, and easily at that. Our finishing was woeful at times but Smith's failure with subs bothered me.

Everybody seems to have a go at Davis but given his recent injury what do you expect him to do given only 10 mins. He should have been on after 60 mins and given Grealish was imperious running at them and winning free kicks I have no idea why Hourihane was not brought on.

Watkins is running the forward line alone like Wesley did and cuts a frustrated figure. We desperately need to support him more.

Very disappointed tonight, be just our luck if Allardyce instills some belief in Albion

Ha. You and me both. I thought my swearing had gone through the roof after West Ham. Today it was on another level

Battered West Ham and battered Burnley. 1 point. Football, you're an odd ball.

We didn't deserve three points at Wolves, one at a stretch, football

Its interesting that Watkins is coming in for criticism, when Jack and Anwar had the chance to play him in but choose to shoot and miss the target.  Not a great result but take the positives bearing in mind the opposition fairly steady performances from both Hause and Nakamba which is great for team morale.

Missed the first 10 minutes but what I saw was as follows.

Martinez was never really troubled.
Targett as above.
Hause had a few moments.
Mings as above.
Nakamba not really sure what he does?
Traore as above.
El Ghazi where do you start?
Watkins apparently he played.
Grealish tried.
McGinn tried.
Elmo tried.

Whoever suggested Dyche as a replacement for Smith wants their bumps feeling, imagine having to watch that shithousery week in week out? I’d rather we had Steve Bruce back.

They're all good players too. Imagine taking out 4 of our best last season *shudders*

In fairness El Ghazi was playing well until I said he was playing well. So I take some responsibility for the 946 chances he missed after that.

I'm not sure about Watkins tonight. He didn't look available for a pass or a through ball very much.

There was nothing wrong with the performance and it would be bizarre to say otherwise. We put 27 chances on the table and at least 3 or 4 should have been scored.
Bang on, Ads.

I find some of the criticism of Watkins a bit harsh. He’s not had his best game tonight, but runs his heart out every game and drags defenders all over the place. Some of the chances that fall to others such as El Ghazi, partly arose because of the movement of Watkins, moving defenders out of position. He does an awful lot of the unseen forward play.  He’s not the finished article as you pay £50 million for that these days, but he’s a far cleverer forward than we’ve had for a number of seasons. He needs a goal for his confidence, i am bankIng on him getting one on Sunday
