Weekends are so much easier when Villa don't play.

With all due respect to Leeds and Southampton, we shouldn't be so comprehensively dominated by teams like that.

Just in hospital where my wife has given birth to our new 1:1 scale baby boy.

Trust villa to fuck up this moment.

So then another one of Deans shit losing streaks is upon us.  Not consistently good enough at this level.

I've worked out Smith's plan - he saw how well Southampton recovered form a 0-9 home defeat last season and is going to try to emulate them.  I think he may be on to something.

Smith has to do something now to stop the bleeding otherwise it's going to be a massacre.
Need to get nkamba on and run the game out

Look at the work rate of Ward-Prowse.
Twice that of Ross or Jack combined.

To be fair that is some strike, in fact apart from the header Martinez has had no chance

Barkley is a disgrace

He’s not a disgrace. He’s just not the player we all hyped him up to be after two games. Neither is McGinn or Luiz or Mings or even Jack when the manager sets us up this way.

Watch his efforts to retrieve the ball he lost for that goal, he's a big type charlie without the ability or application to back it up. A complete and utter disgrace

Barkley in the last 2 games is a the player I was worried we were getting after 2 games of being the player we all hoped he could be.

Dare to suggest a Nakamba or Hourihane comes in for him for the odd game though just to change shape or fresh legs and all hell seems to break loose for half the forum.

Back to our worst; when Smith gets it wrong, he really fucking gets it wrong.  McGinn and Barkley have been woeful.  Any sign of them being replaced?  Course not.  Clueless.  Anyway, not wasting any more of the afternoon on this shite, I shall see you all later.

Do you ever get bored of pointlessly antagonising people?

Barkley, Mings, Targett, Cash, McGinn.

Shameful today.

I didn't like most of these players last season, but was impressed when they kept us up.

I'm seeing some shocking performances today. Players strolling about, no leaders, no zest, no urgency, nothing.

Losing 4-0 at home to Southampton.

Get in Tyrone. All is forgiven.
