Perhaps the quick follow up from the Burton game when he scored and got a dose of confidence, plus signing the new contract, and presumably has had a good week training, has given him the boost we

I believe it’s just regular game time he needs... not just 10 mins at the end of a game

Yep.

This Is Davis people. This is why a few of us have been beating the drum about him for a while. He's a bloody good player.

Indeed!!!

No one is doubting his ability as a footballer Lee.

But he scores at a rate that makes Heskey look like Ronaldo. He has to add that to his game, against Premier League teams. Right now he is a very good footballer that plays up front and never gets into goalscoring positions. He needs to play. Regularly for a season at a good level and prove he can add that to his game.

He’s proving he’s good against championship opposition.  Although he’s definitely improving.

The rate is misleading, it's not like he's played consecutive games and been spooning the ball over bar, or even playing in a team that creates loads of chances.

We always, always look a better team when he plays.

and why it would be a waste loaning him out at this stage of his career, too good for this level and lots of potential
