Great attitude. Let’s go for it!!

Love this guy

He is going to be massive for us, not just with his undoubted ability, but what a fantastic attitude as well.
Wants European footy next year!

Did anyone see Paul Merson's reaction to this interview on Sky Sports News on Saturday? He was astonished Emi was talking about European qualification after we only just survived being relegated a few months ago.
Typical lazy punditry, failing to recognise the team that finished last season won't be the one that begins after the transfer window closes.

True, but even we aren't (Weren't) expecting to jump into the top four in one go.

To be fair what’s the cut off for the weird new Europa League conference thing? Not saying I want to be in it, but it’s technically European football.

League Cup Winners if they haven't already qualified for Europe. Otherwise 6th place. 7th if the League Cup and FA Cup winners both finish top six and we don't win the FA Cup.

Martínez: “I told my wife just the other day, I feel like I’m so in love with football again, like I’ve never known before.”

Great interview, seems like the Villa has made an impression on him and he comes across as a very decent guy.

Now he just needs to tap up Messi whilst on international duty whilst Dougie's having a word with Neymar.
