Emery on Emi Martínez: “He trained this morning. Tomorrow is the last training [before Liverpool] which will be important if he is going to be available or not. Hopefully, yes.”

Hope so, we have zero chance of a result without him

Was in the car listening to Talksport as the teams were announced. Obviously, Emi missing. Barry Glendenning, the Irish chappy, asks if he's been dropped. He's told it's down to injury then comments he 'wouldn't have been surprised if Martinez had been dropped to be honest.' Am I missing something?

Probably just that Glendenning is absolutely clueless.
and a boring twat

Happy birthday Emi, playing and keeping a clean sheet tomorrow would be lovely!

I can't help thinking he'll have his eye on the Albiceleste call-up and either a) He'll have a bit of a 'twinge' this morning meaning Olsen plays. Or b) His electronic black bra data will give a green light on Catweazle's iPad and he'll be told to play but he'll be at 80% and we'll still get sporraned by Salah. Or c) It was Wile E Coyote and George W Bush that put sticks of TNT in the lift shafts at The World Trade Centre

I will inform my Mom, Dad cousins, aunts and uncles who are all from Laois - Offaly, they will be happy to hear this!

Our Emi nominated for the Ballon D’Or and the Yashin award. A proud moment. Have we ever had a Ballon D’Or nominee?

I'm certain Carl Tiler was once on the shortlist.

Not sure if it has always worked the same way but Paul McGrath and David Platt were both on the list in 1990, McGrath again in 91.

I see Rachel Daly and Daphne vom Damselaar are both nominated for the women's one too.
