Is jumping into the crowd not a yellow card?

I don’t think so. He didn’t take his top off which is a bookable offence.

I'm just glad he didn't get booked!
But also noted how he was kicking out of play again
Really needs to work on that distribution

My concentration is not what it once was but I don’t recall EMI kicking it out of play. I did see De Gea do it. I think!

It seems light years away when we lost that connection between supporters and players

Not if it’s not seen.

I don’t remember him kicking it out either. I think Footy is wide of the mark here. As well as all his other attributes i think Martinez has the best distribution of any Villa keeper i can remember.

At the end of the match, he walked the length of the pitch slowly towards the Holte. Not in a 'look at me' kind of way, but more like 'sorry for spooning one in". When he got there, he took his shirt off and gave to somebody in the front row. Then on the way to the tunnel, gave his gloves to somebody in the crowd. I bloody love Emi.

Yep, he’s already one of my favourite ever Villa players.

He strikes me as the type of person who is very appreciative of what he has. Personally and professionally. We plucked him for next to nothing from Arsenal and he will be starting in goal for Argentina at the next WC. We have embraced him and he’s embraced us. He loves it at Villa and we are now adding proper top quality players. He has no need to leave.

The mistake didn’t affect him.  Sign of top keeper

I genuinely can't think of any other mistakes that he has made.  He is a world class keeper and I'm really pleased we have him.

He's world class but his kicking isn't
I highly rate him but his kicking out and length of kicking isn't the greatest.
I use to say he was the best in the league and world class levels but he isn't as good as the two Brazilian keepers for me as a footballer .
He is better though than them in handling.

Great attitude off the pitch too. Really principled and family guy . That's the sort of decent person you want at the  club. Inspired signing by Smith
