I remember reading an article about him when he won the cup at Arsenal and he said his Dad would sometimes travel thousands of miles to watch him play for Arsenal in europe.

I assume he hasn't yet seen him play live for us so hopefully he can fully recover and watch a game at VP eventually.

Hope his dad gets well soon. They were all smiles in the photo on social media so hopefully that bodes well. We do seem to have had bad luck this year but, if we have to have a player travelling to South America, it is good that it has happened now rather than before when he would have had to quarantine upon his return. There is no red list now.

I'd imagine the mental health of some overseas players may be boosted by the knowledge that they can get back home at short notice in case of these sort of emergencies.
