Tough game 6-0 home defeat. And was only really hopeful for a goal.
Some matches thus season Villa will suffer heavy defeats due to gulf in quality and class but let's not be too despondent in some ways as the lower placed teams like Villa will all have these defeats.

Villa far better second half but it was unfortunate to be gifting goals which are the basic errors.

Next week match v Bristol City is the fixture to ear mark for any potential win.
They are one ,if not weakest teams and don't have great resources .

A positive result and 3pts there would be good indeed.

Matches against Man City away, Arsenal , Chelsea will have to be written off as potential heavy defeats

And really the remit is to stay up and perhaps finish above Birmingham.
Slowly establish ourselves but there are some encouraging signs.

Ideally a few USA players or a world class / established overseas player being signed would give us good competitiveness higher up however it's a work and learn in progress with undoubted ambition.

Of course as I say the coach isn't really at same level as many in the league but has done a superb job in bringing Villa up.

Anyway let's hope in the next game of the cup in week and then Bristol City next week two matches were wins can be a real possibility.

Does this really need its own sticky?  Very little in the way of interest it would appear, and the team are a shambles.

I'm interested. And I think we have invested heavily in the squad.

Sack the manager.

The only thing that make them worth watching is the hilarious ineptitude of the goalie.

For a professional athlete the goalkeeper is very very poor.

Could be considered to be a bit sexist. I'm interested, some of them are really fit birds.

Ha.

Didn’t we sign the German international keeper?

Same as the men’s team with year we came up, loads of players nowhere near good enough for the top level and bringing in new ones takes time to settle

Bristol City next looks a big game. Think it will be between us, them, Small Heath and maybe West Ham for the drop.

Aston Villa Women are pleased to announce that Charlotte Clarke will be joining the club on a dual-sign registration for the remainder of the season.

Charlotte currently plays for Derby County of the FA Women's National League North, and will continue to do so.

Charlotte will add additional depth to the goalkeeping department.

Welcome to The Pride, Charlotte!

Happens a lot down the non league system. Basically, she has no contract with anyone. Slightly strange though as usually they dual register with a club below not above.

Usually the club they were first registered with, which is why they usually dual register with someone in a lower league. I assume it's the same with this, but seems weird.
