Jesus, those goals are liking watching kids mess around in a park.  That's not professional quality football in a million years.

We've seen stuff just as bad in the men's game. That stuff must happen every week across the leagues.
No! That's not correct.  I get it that we want all the (put in all those things) - it is horrible to watch.  It's not like one mistake in 90 mins,  it is all the time.

What i don't get,  is how come they don't get better.  Handball - the level is so much higher.  Normally a women handball game is better to watch than a mens game (highest level)

Gaffes happen all the time! There must be hundreds of youtube video compilations on them.

I do agree that the game is noticeably slower and the players look tiny. They're also playing with a size 5 ball, when I think it might be better to drop to a 4.

I agree you can do a compilation of 5 mins of gaffes... but not from 1 game

Caught the second half of this.... Don’t think I’ll be watching again in a hurry.
Ball control is terrible.... clusters of players scrapping for the ball as it gets caught between a player’s feet - Playground stuff.
Hope it improves over time, but think I’ll stick to just internationals for the meantime.

I do wonder how much of the gap in womens football is down to having not been professionally coached from the age of 6 or so.

Do think we should be going all out to fund & promote the womens side though. Seems like it's rapidly increasing in popularity, but the cost involved in getting to the top is still relatively low.

Men's Sunday League possibly.

Sounds like the Villa Engine is finally being implemented, as the Villa Women are taking their lead from the men's team:

Quote
Manchester City began the new Women's Super League season with a 2-0 away win as England forward Georgia Stanway was gifted a first-half double by two defensive errors from newly promoted Aston Villa.

Two terrible mix-ups in the Villa backline saw Stanway tap in twice inside the first 21 minutes.

Now that's Villa DNA.

Apparently the goalkeeper isn't the regular first choice and quite young so hopefully she can learn from this and put it behind her quickly.

There is a stickied thread for reserves, academy and women but it feels out of date plonking the women's side in with the kids.

Aston Villa WSL need their own thread.

If people really want it I'll sort something later and merge all appropriate posts

First signing of the season for our newly-promoted heroines, Scotland international and will annoy Blose. Good news all round.

New thread started for our Women's team. This starting post could not be moved. Hope everything is correct.
