Aston Villa Women 2020-21
« on: July 02, 2020, 01:38:12 PM »
First signing of the season for our newly-promoted heroines, Scotland international and will annoy Blose. Good news all round.

A Scottish goalkeeper, what could possibly go wrong.

Smeg knows why I thought she was a goalie.

She reminds me of someone, it will come back to me.

Further down the page, disappointing news about Ray Graydon.

I can't see anything about Ray Grayson, perhaps I'm missing it.  Would you be good enough to enlighten me please?

He was joking. One of the recommended articles underneath was an "On This Day" piece about when Ray Graydon left. It isn't there now because it is no longer the anniversary of said date.

Ah, thank you. I thought for a while that he may have been diagnosed with something sinister.  Thankfully not, I really enjoyed watching Graydon play, a fast incisive old school winger that could score goals.

My dad talks fondly of him running up the wing with balloons round his ankles. I very much doubt this exists on camera anywhere.

Gemma has learned some bad PR habits fom Christian Purslow:

Quote from: OS
Davies said: “We’ve said it before that we don’t just want to make the numbers up – we want to compete.

“Going into our first year, our goal isn’t just to survive and stay in the league, it’s to go out and be competitive."

Gulp.

Yeah, I'd much rather she'd said she was hoping for relegation. 🙄

I don't see what's wrong with that, compete is vague enough.
