Is that because there’s a story in L’Equipe about him leaving us?

Don’t see us paying 14 mill for a full back not to play him as first choice. I like Guilbert too, but think the intention will be for him to be back up to cash unless Smith doesn’t fancy him.
As far fetched as it sounds there may actually be something in Smith and Suso signings. Konsa, Mings, Targett clearly Smith signings and seemingly areas of the team we’re not looking at strengthening.
Guilbert, Nakamba, Trez, Wes, all Suso signings and all the areas of the pitch we are looking at buying ‘upgrades’
Maybe Smith is trying to get his own men in.

I thought I'd read Targett was one of Suso's suggestions. I certainly don't think it's as clear cut as all foreign players were Suso's suggestions and all British players were Deano's.

It could also well be a deliberate decision to have two types of fullback as options - Cash / Targett more attacking and could play as wingbacks, Guilbert / Taylor (or hopefully Taylor's replacement) more defensive. There's plenty of games in a season for both to get enough starts.

Guilbert's form tailed off? Seriously?

Prove that Suso signed Guilbert.

Justify it.

I agree that Elmo is ace but his time might be up for us.

Really do I have to. Thought you know I'm not for speculative and wild assumptions !
When Suso left Frederic Guilbert via social media, so that's public evidence,  thanked him for giving him the ‘opportunity to play in the Premier League’

Also Smith said upon signing of Freddie: “He’s a young player who was highlighted to us by our French scouting team as well as Suso (Villa's sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch).

Then Smith checked him out.
So clearly he's more to do with the old regime of Suso and the whole newtork of some Franco - Belgian accord !!

According to the comments made by Dean the day we signed Guilbert, he was recommended to us by our french scouting team and Suso and Smith went to see him in action personally before agreeing to the signing.  So in other words like all our signings under the committee structure.

Unlike your libellous allegations about Grealish and others which you quite rightly deleted.

See..
I made my hunches way before this news report as far as I know.
My time stamp was early this afternoon
Yet I have been thinking that some of Suso signings will be ousted under this new Nordic fellow.

It was Suso’s job to scout players.  There’s nothing unusual I don’t understand the Suso inspired nonsense.  That was the structure in place.

It's quite straightforward .
For me the old sporting director signing of Guilbert wasn't totally Smith desire.
Under new transfer regime with the nordic there seems to be a signing very much in the fitting of Dean Smith profile.
That's all
And I hunches it.

Anyway Cash is our player and for me he will start the season at right back v Sheff Utd.
I think many also believe this however much they like Guilbert or Elmo.

That's how i see it, Cash as a replacement for Elmo in that sense.

Easier said than done.

Can't you ignore the 'ganging up'? (Which is actually just people taking issue/disagreeing with what's being said)
