Konsa being played at right back was a warning sign that we weren't happy with our options at right back. I think a lot of our pre-lockdown defensive errors were down to positional naivety.
I agree, for all his sprinting forwards & backwards Guilbert was defensively naive. He wasn't alone in that but for me was the main culprit.

Having 2 right backs providing competition is a good thing. Same applies for all areas of the pitch.

I'm sure I've seen that he can also play in midfield, which helps there.

As on the left with Targett I don't think Guilbert was helped by the shape of the team pre-lockdown. After the lockdown we had McGinn and Hourihane stepping into the fullback areas and offering more help which made us a lot more solid. If did mean we were a bit light in midfielder when we came to counter attack though which is why adding some pace up front would help as an out ball.

On Cash I don't know enough about him to offer much comment but he looks like he enjoys the battle and we were goingto have to replace Elmo soon regardless so I'm ok with it so long as it doesn't stop us getting the more important signings elsewhere.

On SSN they’ve just said no fee agreed but we’re close. We offered £10m and they want £12m.

Yes.  Started with a report in the last hour in The Independent.  I hope this isn’t this years Joe Bryan thread.

I was talking to a Forest fan today who said ' We do owe you a player after Lansbury.'

Can he defend?

From what I've read, his best strength. The boy loves a tackle.

Targett being caught out of position was an even bigger problem.

When I watched him he reminds me of a right sided SJM.
