If he's pushing for an England place at right-back then he will have done brilliantly, given right-back is probably the position England is most blessed at the moment.  You've got Trippier, James, Walker and Alexander-Arnold - any of whom is comfortably international class.  I don't think there is a position with that much depth of quality anywhere else in the England squad?

I'd like him to improve - who doesn't want their players to improve - but even if he does, he's got a LONG way to go to get ahead of any of those four.  Targett had a pretty good season last year, and he's still well down the pecking order in International terms at left-back.

I think I'm right in saying last season was only his second full season as a right-back, having been converted from a winger while at Forest?  That gives me a lot of confidence that the defensive side of his game CAN improve further.  He's certainly got the engine and athleticism going forward to be a threat at the other end.

I doubt any national team, in any position, has the sort of depth England to at right back, it's ridiculous, especially when you add in some of the younger players as well. There was some talk of Cash declaring for Poland at one point and, if he's interested in playing internationally, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

It's being reported that Poland are trying to persuade Cash to play for them before the next round of world cup qualifiers - he's eligible through his Mum's side. Not much chance of him getting in the England set up at the moment, so might be a good move for him and Poland.

Last thing we need is Legia Warszawa players tapping him up when he's away on international duty.

Wouldn't blame him jumping ship to Poland with Southgate manager of England. If the likes of Chilwell can't get a look if, then Cash has got no chance with that safety first twat in charge. Plus he plays for a shit manager not a patch on Pep, with a load of sub-standard teammates dragging him down ::)

I don’t think I’ve seen a player as delighted to score a goal as that for a long, long time. He went properly mental.

And in interview after the game.
Genuinely like a kid.
Brilliant!
