Cash is great - and Guilbert will be adequate back-up for next season; if he's still here.

I'd be amazed if Guilbert comes back to be honest.

Cash is far a better player and will also improve as well.

I think he’ll get even better next season, and if we’ve got Fred battling it out with him, we will be pretty strong at right back IMO.

Dean rightly poured scorn on the new contract story at his presser before the game. He's less than a year into a contract beyond his wildest dreams. Still has a lot to learn. Save your money for the children.

Unpopular opinion as I genuinly like him, but I dont think he's any better than Guilbert.

Agreed. I’ve expressed my opinions on him before. I am not accepting from anyone that he unseeded to leave that ball today because he knew he was offside. Personally, I think he continues to be a liability in defence. Another unpopular opinion.

He's absolutely not a liability.

It's crazy talk, he's an outstanding player.

The hand ball that he should have been sent off for against Southampton at home. Destroyed by Liverpool at home, Leeds at home, the penalty v man united away, the penalty that should have been v Southampton away got away with v Liverpool the other day to name but a few. There’s six games without even having time to think. When you factor in that he’s missed a few games few injury, he’s probably only played a 26 game season. Even without our incidents being taken in to consideration that’s 1 in 4 cock ups or bad games. He is absolutely a defensively liability. When you factor in as well that he hasn’t scored goals where Guilbert scored at least twice last season, so he offers nothing going forward, I really don’t see what all the fuss is about. I’d rather us have signed a striker to be honest.

There will never be a danger of him being poached.

destroyed by liverpool at home, are you honestly picking faults with a game where we won 7-2 against the reigning champions?

All I see is a very young and talented right sided footballer.
He's been impressive in his first season in the Premier League and your picking holes in his game.
Bonkers mate.

It’s funny how we have been extremely good in defence this season but we have a liability with Cash, while last season we had a terrible record but with a different full back in the team.

Cash is a defensive liability?

Cash, right back in the 3rd best defence in the league, compared with Cancelo, the right back in the best defence in the league.

Appearances: 24-24
Clean sheets: 10-13

Blocks: 9-2
Interceptions: 58-35
Tackles: 63-58
Successful Tackles: 36-33
Clearences: 73-23
Headed Clearances: 41-12

Fouls: 29-33

Matty Cash, defensive liability? Hmmmm.

Cash has the same amount of assists as Freddie, same amount of goals. Significantly more passes, more completed passes, more forward passes and has been disposed less.

Cash offers nothing going forwards? Hmmm
