For me our main problem is we can’t string two passes together, we have to lump it up the pitch in the hope it finds one of our players.

This constant lobbing of the ball just isn't working. It just comes straight back at us.

Great minds.

You can see the instruction it to launch it into space behind the fullbacks quickly but Davis isn’t getting to the ball at all.

We are soooooooo slow and ponderous.  Good break, petered out to nothing.

Yep. Can't understand why Davis (?) didn't play the ball over the defense with Jack and El Ghazi making runs behind their markers.

He had the space to try it.

Everybody's first thought is to turn round and play it backwards.

The game completely passing Trezeguet by. We've started ok but need to not revert to type and kick it long and hope for the best.  Good effort from Douggie.

It's a myth though, I know it's rare but we've seen it happen. AEG and Luiz earlier for instance.

We have to try. The risk of giving the ball away is the same if we keep lobbing it over the top

I somehow think Davis is not ready to challenge Haaland to best young  striker in Europe Award this season.

It was a fucking massive space to play it into.
