Talk about Barry getting a game, doesn't even make the bench.

Usual internet nonsense. I don't think he is even training with the first team. Smith prefers Vassilev.

What is the point in keeping Drinkwater on if Smith doesn't involve him? Not saying he should be involved, just he's an unnecessary financial drain if Smith doesn't rate him.

About half that starting 11 are an unnecessary financial drain.

What’s his alternative! Davis has been a better striker than samatta.

Aeg and trez are frustrating to say the least and not good enough but who else

Who on that bench could come in.

We are a shambles of a squad the recruitment has been a disgrace and every week it shows

When we go to be stuck with this squad omnibus Grealish McGinn Douglas and Mings is frightening

Can’t remember ever putting out a worse back 4 than that

Mings is OK the others are not even championship level

we have no chance with that defence

Staggered Trez and El Ghazi playing. They’ve both offered the square root of **** all of late. Please prove me wrong.

Maybe DS thinks he has a better chance of keeping his job if we get relegated?

The way people talk on these match threads is like we've got Mellberg, Laursen and Ashley Young on the bench.

We can be equally bad with Jota, Guilbert etc starting instead if people like, it's tough putting out a side that people fancy to get anything in a game like this, or most games at this level for that matter.

Cowardly

How is playing with so many attackers cowardly?

You regard AEG and Trez as attackers??? The stats tell the story. This is a selection designed to limit damage - and that in my court is cowardly. No adventure at all. Same old same old and as a result, result and performance are inevitable

That they haven't done a fat lot doesn't alter they are attackers, I doubt many would rate their defensive work*

*dip your bread, even Davis would bury that one.
