New deal for Seb Revan. Is that Dom’s brother?

Another one who has been involved with England at youth level.

We do like to recruit brothers, don't we!

Some encouraging remarks from Mark Delaney ahead of this afternoon's game against Burnley -

“We’ve improved our performances from the start of the season until now. We’re looking to finish as strong as we can.

“The next three games are at home, but we know they’re against the teams around us in those play-off positions. We’ve seen a massive progression in the whole Academy for the whole year.

“Players training with the first team, my U23s is full of Under-18s, the U18s are full of Under-17s, so for us that’s everything.

“As much as we’d love to see us in the play-offs and getting promoted, we’ve been really progressing as an Academy this year which is the most important thing.”

Dreadful defending by Villa i am sorry to say  Villa knew where Burnley would pose problems, corners and set pieces .After just 3 minutes from a corner the Villa keeper Onodi missed the ball and left the Burnley striker a free header .We got back level with a Barry shot deflected in and then Barry had a goal ruled out for offside which looked a tight decision  Then at the start of the second half Burnley took the lead from yet another corner and yet again Onodi  at fault  .Villa managed to make it 2-2 in the first minute of Stoppage time through Ramsay  and then managed to throw the game away through more dreadful defending  The left back Chrisene i think his name is played a back pass and Onodi completed a afternoon to forget by bringing the Burnley player down for a penalty

Saw most of it. Strangely similar to watching the first team against Burnley. Conceded from two corners and a penalty. Keeper had a tough time dealing with high balls in very high winds.

Standout player was Chukwuemeka. Proper box to box midfielder, crucial interceptions at the back, carries it out of defence well but also creating chances and getting into scoring positions. Fantastic prospect for a 17 year old.

Barry watch... I think it was his shot that was deflected in by a defender for our first. Then had a goal harshly ruled out for offside. Looks very skilful, maybe tries to be a bit too fancy at times (tried to lob the keeper when a normal shot looked a better option for example) but definitely exciting.

Hopefully we'll see them get some chances for the first team before the end of the season.
