He's another Enkleman, has a comical, disasterous rick in him. Very poor scouting again.

I know we’re shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic, but I’d absolutely put Jed Steer back in now.

If we drop, he’s likely to be our No.1 next season (I don’t think Heaton will stay) , so let’s play him.

Nyland has reverted back to the nervous wreck he looked when we first saw him in the Championship, which is a shame as there had been a marked improvement earlier on during the cup games.

Is Steer actually available as one of our nominated squad?

Yes, I just think he is recovering from injury. Pretty sure it is Heaton that is not part of it.

Nyland's is a strange case, he's always looked a little nevous but he's got far, far worse playing in empty stadiums, which is a surprise.

Bloody hell. Just noticed Nyland is 30 later this year. I thought he was about 22 or 23.

Steer will be first choice while Heaton rehabilitates. It seems that we're in for Martinez. He's rejected a contract offer and Arsenal are supposedly looking for a replacement so there's a good chance and dependent on agreeing a fee.

Are they as wedged up as us though?

There’s only one Aston Villa, though 👍

I don't get this. Is Heaton's injury worse than I think? Or Steer's? Just play Jed for a few weeks. He's more than capable.

I believe Heaton is due back around October. No idea about Steer but if he is match-fit I'd go with him from the start until Heaton is ready. The rest are just not good enough at this level.

I think its like everywhere else if there's an opportunity out there to go and get better you take it.
I wouldn't have prioritized the right back spot for example.

Yeah,  because we can only pursue one player at a time

We probably didn't but Cash was available there and then with other suitors likely.  We would have had to have moved faster for him.

Why is Reina in the poll? Didn’t he go back to Juve? I’d be very happy if we pushed the boat out for Martinez. Seems like a lot, but we’ve now signed Watkins and you can’t fk about with keepers. I’d have been reasonably happy with Steer or Nyland starting until Heaton gets fit, but if we’re looking to get Martinez, get it done. Long term prospect.
