has reina's loan been extended yet?

nyland didn't have a lot to do yesterday, but the way he flapped at the 'goal' hardly inspired confidence. every opponent would have been watching that and taking note.

jed steer has been out for six months and only started training again last month. if he's ready and sharp, i'd put him in ahead of nyland.

Nyland caught the ball and KD collides with him while Nyland is coming down from the jump and only has one foot on the floor, there's no way he is at fault for it.

It was a ball he failed to deal with and it was a goal that only wasn't given by a miraculous set of circumstances. Of course it was his fault.

He did deal with it as he caught it.  He was then knocked into his net.

They scored FFS! He made a complete bollocks of it. Whose fault would you say it was?

I watched it again several times.  It was a good clean catch.  There's no way he ends up in the goal if not bumped.  It was a feak collision, but if anyones fault it has to be KD.

He caught the ball, as he should. If KD didn't collide with him there would be no issue. No matter how many times you say it, he didn't make a complete bollocks of it.

My own view is he's getting a free pass because it didn't get given. If you're at risk of carrying the ball over the line you shouldn't catch it. He should have tipped it behind or punched it. No matter how many times you say otherwise it was a bad error.

He wasn't at risk of carrying it over until KD collides with him. Whether it was given or not does not change that. If that was Billy Sharp and not Keinan i'm pretty sure that every single person on here would be saying it was a foul on the keeper rather than a keeper error.

He wasnt at risk of carrying it over the line.  Watch it from the side line angle - he comfortably catches it and is not going towards goal.  He only falls over when bumped by KD.

By your rationale no keeper should ever catch a cross in case some clumsy brick shithouse barges them over the line.

I rate Nyland, Reina and Steer. I can't see how Nyland can be blamed for last nights goal when he was barged back over his line by his team mate. If it had been an opposition player instead of his own team mate a foul would have been given. Although maybe not given last nights officiating mistakes. All things being equal I think I would go with Steer, although I am guessing performances in training will help the coaching staff decide.

It definitely wasn't a clean catch. There was a little juggle/near drop beforehand wasn't there?

It was a wicked ball and a decent catch.  Maybe a little juggle but control never looked in doubt.
