I like a rant and Hourihane bore the brunt of my anger. I remember saying that, and was wrong to do so. It was an over the top reaction to a player that I thought wasnt playing well, and looked like he couldn't give a shit. He duly rammed that down my throat, and I was happy to eat humble pie.As for abusing Smith, you'll have to be more specific. I think he's been a bit crap this season on more than one occasion, despite the great achievement of promotion. If he was doing well, he wouldn't be receiving the so called abuse you speak of. But thank you for reminding me of the abuse I dish out. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for anything negative that you say from now on. I'll send you a report later. It's a football forum 'Marlon From Bearwood'. I'm afraid you're going to come across ranting and negativity. Apologies if it's made you feel uncomfortable.Fair enough. Maybe I was wrong to use the F word, I’ll put it down to the frustration of yesterday followed by some of the over the top comments on here. Onwards and upwards (hopefully). Yes mate. Onwards and upwards! We all hurt when we lose, of course. I still think we will stay up, and reckon we'll beat Southampton this weekend. Up the Villa.

Laughable on some other sites seeing Spuds fans saying they are pleased that they didn't sign Grealish and what a poor game he had. They really are total cnuts aren't they?
Can we all agree we missed Mings?
I don't know why there is so much moaning. I saw some really good stuff yesterday at Villa Park; great technique, consistent quality and composure under pressure.Well done to all the "Prize where it lies" contestants.

Even if I wasn't Villa through and through, I'd pay money to go and watch Grealish play.Spurs fans are just laughable in general.
Must have missed it but what was wrong with Mings
A lot of people saying we played well and didn't deserve to lose. What I saw, we played well, very well, for the first 30 minutes, and maybe for 5-10 minutes or so at the start of the second half. But we allowed an away team 23 shots at goal, 10 of which were on target. That's not a one-off either. We, the home side, had 18 shots, 4 on target. That's not playing well in my book, and it's not indicating we deserved anything from the game except what we got. Sickening as it was coming in the dying seconds, they were getting chance after chance the last 15 minutes, and a fair few before that. It would have happened much sooner if not for Reina's saves and Deli Alli not being able to finish. The way we "defended" I reckon if Kane had been playing they'd have put 6 past us like Citeh did. As for Smith instead of whingeing about VAR getting the penalty decision right he should focus on teaching the team how to defend and not make stupid errors and challenges.
