The eye did it - not sure what to make of these pair - poss better than Chisora, not as good as Dillian, nowhere near Fury or AJ

Weird end to a fight. Thought Dubois was supposed to be this outrageous beast with boxing skills, but Joyce ate a few right hands and didn't seem to flinch, must less step back. Think both would be fair beaten by Fury or Joshua.

I wouldn't say a boxer could quit, but that was never a fight-winning punch.

Very disappointed in Dubois tonight. Fair play to Joyce though, never looked troubled.

He 100% quit, fair play to him tho as fighting on with one eye is foolhardy - maybe his corner should have been on it

On reflection, Dubois probably thought no point in fighting on when he could have been badly hurt.

Joyce reminds me of Gary Mason. He's slow and looks cumbersome but he keeps on coming.

Full credit to Joyce boxed superbly, Dubois will now be called a quitter, but I think he was concerned about possibly having permanent damage done to his eye.

Apparently Dubois was up by eight rounds on one of the scorecards. Diabolical.

All the rounds were close hence it being a pretty poor fight as neither had concerted pressure or attack...so not diabolical but would say surprising that a judge would have found enough to give Dubois that level of lead.

On tonight's viewing, I don't think either would beat Chisora.  Saying that, Joe Joyce has gone home with the Britis, European and Commowealth belts which is certainly not to be sniffed at.

You very rarely get a classic heavyweight fight; the memorable ones are usually when one punch changes everything but that one wasn't bad. I think Joyce on tonight's form would beat Chisora but i can't see him improving much.

Yeah a serious eye injury could be career ending, so folding his cards when he did might turn out to be a good move in the long run.  Thought Dubois looked shell shocked and glazed over at times sitting on his stool,in between rounds.

As a casual observer of boxing I have to admit I'd confused him with John Joe Joyce till I read he was British and checked his wikipedia. Presumably not your usual boxer outside the ring.

Outside the ring, he is a proficient artist, having graduated with a 2:1 degree in fine arts from Middlesex University. In 2017, Joyce had displays with the Art of the Olympians.

Never mind the big names, tonight's card looks a cracker.
